I have worked with non-profit organizations and small businesses throughout my entire career, which I’ve always found rewarding because these enterprises offer employees the opportunity to take on many responsibilities and learn many skills.

I have also always loved the arts. One of my favorite initiatives was the creation and production of the award-winning cable and online show,  Conversations with Creatives. In this series, which I produced, hosted and edited for five years, I had the delight of meeting with many local, regional and national artists to interview them and explore their work and their personal philosophies of art making. One of my goals with this show was to make it as diverse as possible, covering artists of every age, gender, heritage and artistic medium.

While working at RCTV Media Center and 100.9 WXIR, Rochester’s public access TV and Radio station, I also enjoyed producing a cable show on Foster Care and Adoption called Family by Choice, as well as creating, writing and producing a radio series called Black Music Minute, celebrating iconic Black musicians. During the COVID lockdown, I wanted to explore how the pandemic was affecting different aspects of our society, so  Scott Fitzgerald, Co-Owner and Founder of ROC Vox Recording & Production turned to zoom to collaborate on producing the pandemic-inspired series Studio to Studio, which was a very different experience than producing in a studio or going into the community to film.

Since Sixth Grade, I’ve been an avid writer, and my interest in photography bloomed in high school when I took a class. These skills have been useful in so many ways! I’ve enjoyed writing press releases, creating articles for newsletters, books, annual reports, personal and business blog posts and magazines. These skills have been instrumental in so many projects, including working with KidsOutAndAbout as Editor of a sister publication, BeyondtheNest.

One of my other great passions is reading, which led  into designing and producing books, (if you happen to be a teacher, watch for the upcoming Dolce Method of Learning Mastery which will be released later this year),  programs, annual reports and diverse other marketing and promotional materials

I now consult with small businesses, non-profit organizations and artists.
