Carol White Llewellyn is President & Owner of CommuniVision Studio, a Rochester, NY based marketing and media arts company. She is also the Producer, Editor and Host of Conversations with Creatives, a three-time Telly Award winning online and cable show, that recently entered its fifth season. Conversations with Creatives explores the arts through interviews with regional and national artists working in diverse areas of the arts. The program has received two NYSCA Decentralization grants, administered through Genesee Valley Council on the Arts.. She also received a Telly Award in 2018 for her Public Service Announcement, “The Arts and You.”
In addition to her work with clients through CommuniVision Studio, she is the Marketing Director for RCTV, Rochester’s Community Media Center and 100.9 WXIR. She is also the Editor of Beyond the Nest, an online guide to Arts Culture & Recreation. Her editorials often encompass humor or inspirational messages.
Fascinated by the field of tourism, she has been a Member of Visit Rochester for the past twelve years. During that time, she has served two terms on the Visitor Industry Council’s Steering Committee, Chaired the Families with Children’s Committee, and served six years as a Member of the Presence Committe. She is proud to have received numerous awards, including the “Champion Award.” She is currently serving her second term as Chair of the Explore Rochester Under the Dome Member Expo.
A long-time activist in the media community, she is a Member of the Programming Committee for the Rochester Documentary Filmmakers, she was on the selection committee for the 2015 High Falls Film Festival and she is currently serving her first term as a Board Member of RAFAS (Rochester Association of Film Arts & Sciences).
For the past four years, she has championed and organized bringing the 90-Second Newbery Children’s Film Festival to Rochester as a collaborative initiative among RCTV, Writers & Books, KidsOutAndAbout, the George Eastman Museum and Rochester Museum & Science Center.
Her past positions include SVP, Communications of the Advertising Research Foundation and Managing Editor of the Journal of Advertising Research, listed among the top 10 Marketing Journals in the U.S. During that time, she was a member of NYSAE where she served as Chair of the Education Committee for two years and was named Outstanding Committee Chair in 2007. Upon moving to Rochester, she published the Rochester & Finger Lakes edition of TravelHost Magazine and the accepted the position of Marketing Director at Ganondagan State Historic Site.
She is in the process of finalizing a documentary called Harvesting a Heritage, and has just completed the book and lyrics for her first musical, Sunflowers.
